Genesis 19, of the Bible tells the story of destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah by two angels. It is the story of Lot, a benevolent and God fearing man who tried to protect his visitors from sexual abuse by the men of Sodom.
In section 12, “the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place. 13, For we are about to destroy his place, because of the outcry against its people has become great before the Lord. And the Lord has sent us to destroy it.
Most people in the west, know this story. And think of it as nothing more than a parable to scare people away from debauchery and evil. It seems like only die-hard Christians take Genesis 19 and the destruction of Sodom as a factual event.
But after a week of seeing large parts of Los Angels, and Malibu burnt completely to the ground, I think it wise for all of us to exam the role of Hollywood's entertainment industry and the near total destruction of it.
I think it more than a coincidence that the parts of LA basin that were leveled by this great fire, were the heart and soul of the LA Uber liberal community is centered. The nation watched in horror as the western communities of Malibu, Topanga Canyon, and Pacific Palisades went up in flames and smoke. Since many people who were forced to evacuate, have not been allowed back into their neighborhoods, we now have only a short list of celebrities who have stated they lost their homes. Ms. Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Bozoma Saint John, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Cary Elwes, Diane Warren, Cameron Mathison, Ricki Lake, Jhené Aiko Lou Adler , Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, Eugene Levy, John Goodman, Anthony Hopkins, and Milo Ventimigliae to name a few.
Yet, there are still an estimated forty thousand other people who have been permanently displaced by the fire. And given the long history of Hollywood's entertainment industry promoting and showcasing promiscuity, unfaithfulness, homosexuality, drug abuse, anti hero's, communism, violence, rape, anti Christianity, and debauchery, the Sodom like near total destruction of it, looks clearly like an act of God.
And while most insurance companies hide behind “AN ACT OF GOD” to shield themselves from the risk of natural damage to policy holders property. We should all be standing back from this apocalyptic fire and asking ourselves if maybe, just maybe, there is a God. And like it stated in Genesis 19, “because of the outcry against its people has become great before the Lord. And the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
Added to this Sodom was the fact that LA's entire fire department was lead by three, unapologetic lesbians, who were put in positions of power for whom they bed, and not for their competence, and the Los Angels conflagration looks more and more like an old school, old testament, God who will smite thee kind of retribution.
When we add up the long history of sexual abuse by the legendary moguls of Hollywood, men like R. Wiley, Havey Weinstein, Sean Combs, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen, Cuba Gooding, and Danny Masterson into the sick and demented products their followers release for public consumption, it should not be surprising that God needed to step in and level the damned place.
And after years of my personally working fight against Disney Corporation's trans and LGBT grooming, I am actually OKAY with all of Hollywood being destroyed. For the last twenty years Hollywood has become Sodom 2.0. With no one, not the corporations that run the industry, or the men like Weinstein, who produce large tent pole movies standing on the side of righteousness and decency. All of the movers and shakers in Tinsel Town stood by and allowed sexual trafficking and extortion to flourish, in order for them to have a seat at the big table.
And now God has punished them. Their lives and incomes are in ashes. The liberal leaders that Hollywood put into government offices because of their race, or liberal politics, have stood around for the last week and pointed fingers at one another. No one, not from Governor Newsom, or the Mayor, or the LAFD Chief, or the CEO of the LA Water and Power, have admitted to any responsibility for their own incompetence and negligence in the fire.
Having said this, Hollywood's destruction is a sign of God. And like Lot, our great nation has been given the chance to move beyond the immorality and debauchery of the left. With President Trump about to take office in five days, now is the time to build a new, and different hub for mass entertainment. One that is not controlled by pedophiles, homosexuals, and rapists. One that is not controlled by LGBT loving corporations.
This is the God-given opportunity to build out a new entertainment production hub, in a place like Texas. Like LA, Texas has lots of clean air, sunshine and land to build new studios on. And may I suggest we name it Phoenix, Texas. Like the mythical bird that rises out of the ashes.
God has destroyed Sodom 2.0.
